I'm William, a pattern maker and sewist based in Tokyo. My work sits at the intersection of technical drafting and garment construction — I draft every pattern I sew, and sew every pattern I draft.

I'm drawn to clothing where the engineering is the design: clean blocks, considered ease, seams that earn their place. Studying garments from both the Japanese and European traditions shapes how I approach fit and proportion.

This portfolio documents drafts, toiles, and finished pieces. Each project lists its real specs — piece count, fabric, ease — because the numbers are the work.
